Dr. Mantell performs the first Meniscus Transplant and Osteochondral allograft at Winchester Medical Center. The entire meniscus and cartilage/bone graft was taken from a cadaver and inserted into a patient who had previously had their meniscus removed. The osteochondral allograft was used to fill a pothole sized lesion in the cartilage.
